A newly erected sign outside St. James Anglican Church has some neighbours and members of Heritage Stratford seeing red.
Controversy erupted earlier this month after the sign, which features a digital LED screen, went up on the lawn at the Mornington Street church.
In response to the outcry, church officials dimmed the intensity of the red digital read-out, turned off the pulsing letters and opted for a stationary, rather than scrolling, message.
The sign is also being turned off at dusk, instead of 11 p.m. as originally dictated by city council when approval was given earlier this year.
Do not assumebecause I post an extract of an article or link to it that I agree with it. I'm only blogspotting.
