LOCAL COVERAGE ONLY SO FAR?
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A local theater group is off to England to perform for a gathering of the world’s Anglican bishops in Canterbury.
The acting troupe from Western Michigan University is putting on a play called Seven Passages, which critically examines bible verses about homosexuality.
Calvin College Professor Stephanie Sandberg wrote the play and will direct it.
The performance coincides with the bishops’ discussions on sexuality, a divisive issue in the church.
